Part 1 came out earlier. We now move forward with Part 2. In this version, we switch our focus from the defense to the offense, asking, “how can we clear $50 million in cap space while only working with Minnesota’s offensive players?” Indeed, the latest episode of Notes from the North – a humble Vikings podcast – discusses money shuffling with a focus on Minnesota’s offense.
Take a look at what Sam has to say: “On this episode from Notes from the North, Kyle takes on the task of now trying to find a path to clearing 50 million in cap space for the 2023 season, focusing solely on player contracts on the offensive side of the ball.”
We end up chatting about extending Kirk Cousins and T.J. Hockenson before moving into considering other players on the offense. One also thinks of a potential restructure for Brian O’Neill, Minnesota’s sensational (and still young) right tackle who is coming back from an achilles injury.
No hockey talk in this one either. Perhaps Sam has lost his passion for hockey; perhaps we’ve merely been focused on football matters. Tune in to future episodes of Notes to get further clarity.
Oh, and keep in mind that the double episode means we won’t be releasing another pod until after the Super Bowl.
Folks who are into Vikings podcasts or think they’d like to get into Vikings podcasts should feel free to give Notes from the North a shot. Hop over to iTunes, Spotify, or Podbean. My understanding is that you don’t need an account at these spots. Just press play and enjoy the pod.
Enjoy the listening, Vikings fan.
