iX M60 gets winter wheels and Nokian tires + ski racks — range & efficiency results

Today I switched the iX M60 to “winter mode” and took it for a 90 minute test run. This involved switching the wheels and tires to the Nokians I had left over from my e-tron and installing a new Thule rack. I put my skis on the rack and dropped them off for a seasonal tune up while I was out.

Cruise set to 78mph, did a loop up I15 and back. Temperature mid 40°F. Averaged 36.5kWh/100 miles, or 2.74 miles per kWh for a theoretical range of 287 miles. Not too bad for a big wind baffle on top and slightly above speed limit. Still above EPA!
