LIVE: NFL Trade Deadline Tracker

[ad_1]

Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson (88) walks back into the tunnel after the Lions lost, 31-27, to the Miami Dolphins at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022.

The NFL trade deadline hits today at 3 PM CST, and with that, moves are expected to occur throughout the day. We at PurplePTSD have you covered with all the news as it happens!

T.J. Hockenson Heads to the Vikings

The first big domino of the actual NFL trade deadline day has fallen as the Minnesota Vikings acquire T.J. Hockenson from the Detroit Lions.

Here is the total compensation headed in both directions:

Vikings get:

  • T.J. Hockenson
  • 2023 fourth-round pick
  • 2024 conditional fourth-round pick

Lions get:

  • 2023 second-round pick
  • 2024 third round pick

Here’s the official PurplePTSD story on this win-now move:

Brandin Cooks Likes Vikings?

Apparently, Brandin Cooks is a fan of either 1) the Minnesota Vikings or 2) stirring the pot of trade rumors. It seems the Texans WR typed “Brandin Cooks Vikings trade” into the Twitter search engine because he has liked multiple tweets suggesting that the Vikings should trade for him over the past 24 hours.

That likelihood takes a hit with the Vikings acquiring Hockenson, but it’s still out there given that Minnesota still has plenty of draft capital. For more information on this story, check out either of these two stories here on PurplePTSD.com:

The Bears Are Selling

The Chicago Bears have proven to be sellers as the NFL trade deadline approaches. They’ve dealt both Robert Quinn and Roquan Smith over the course of the past week. Quinn heads to the Philadelphia Eagles for a fourth-round pick. Meanwhile, Smith goes to the Baltimore Ravens, and the Bears got second and fifth round picks in 2023 as well as A.J. Klein.
